We are very pleased to be releasing our new result entry portal, of which, the Dengue virus program will be the first released on the platform.
New result entry tab
The result entry tab shall now appear in the new portal. This is highlighted in the image below.
Referring to the image above, there is a separate tab for open and closed surveys. Once a survey has closed, it will move to the “CLOSED” tab.
Opening and closing dates
Opening and closing dates are displayed alongside the survey information, allowing you to easily organise your work. This information is now displayed in your local time.
Result entry status
The stage of your result submissions is indicated by the, “Status” bar. Status used are; Enter Results, Draft or Submitted. Results that are not submitted 5 days before the closing date will appear in red.
Entering results and methods
Begin entering results by selecting either the, “Survey instructions” or the, “Status” related to the survey. Selecting, “Survey instructions” will take you to the image below. Selecting the, “Status” will take you directly to the, “RESULT ENTRY” tab, highlighted in the image below.
The survey instructions will include clinical notes and test instructions, information on the samples and any other relevant program knowledge.
Once you have read the, “Survey instructions” and are ready to enter results, move over to the, “Result entry” tab. Immediately you will notice the different tests, labelled in tabs below.
Only enter results for the tests that you perform.
Entering results is now more intuitive. As you enter results, they will automatically save in draft. So if you time-out for any reason, you can log back in and start from where you left off.
Qualitative results appear in a drop-down menu and the expiry date is now an interactive calendar. Quantitative results will accept numerals, as well as the less than, greater than, and negative symbols.
Entering method codes has been refined and the choices you make, cascade. This means you will only see logical selections based on your choices. For example, an analytical principle that does not relate to the kit you use, will not be displayed as an option. Method codes that are entered will stay saved across surveys.
Result review and submission
After entering your results, select the progress to submit button, located in the bottom right hand side of screen. A new tab will display, letting you review your results before submitting them. If any changes need to be made, select the, “Cancel” button to return to the result entry screen. Once you are happy with your results, clicking “Complete submission” will confirm and send in your results. You can make changes to your submitted results at any time before the survey closes.
On completion of your submission, an email is sent to the user who entered the results. The result entry page is also digitally tagged with the username of the last submitting user, shown below.
As always, please use the feedback button to provide your thoughts on the new myQAP experience.
The status of results will appear red if not submitted 5 days before the closing date, results saved in draft included.
You must enter results in the “Dengue interpretation” tab.
Result sheets and survey instructions can be printed using the print or download icon.
